The DC tech community has been changing, growing and coalescing. And at each technology event, someone announces a new web startup. For technology entrepreneurs in the DC environs, one of the great challenges has been connecting with others in the area; whether it be for networking, partnerships, investment or development resources, getting in touch and getting the word out has been difficult. One of the benefits of all the events and activity is that it makes all this a lot easier. At dc tech beat we cover and report on the happenings of the burgeoning local tech startup scene, in the hopes that the exposure will help everyone involved –entrepreneurs, investors, developers–learn about what’s going on and what opportunities are available, and let everyone (both in and outside of the DC area) know what’s going on in our nation’s capital.

About our founder: His name is Greg Gershman. Amongst other things, he is also the founder of Blogdigger.com, a blog search engine. He grew up in Gaithersburg, lives in Baltimore, and treks down to DC several times a month for meetings and events.
